Sprial Pointed For through hole tapping
These taps with a special geometry, are unique in their performance especially for high production runs and for through hole applications. A shorter thread length coupled with strong cutting edges and lower cutting torque enables the chips to be pushed forward and therefore better thread finish.
The taps can also be manufactured in M35 & M42 steels with various surface treatments like Blued, Nitrided, Titanium Nitride etc |
|
Tuff Extra strong thread for high speed tapping
Totem fluteless taps are designed for cold forming internal threads for ductile and non ferrous metals like Aluminum ( Moulded, Die casting, Drawn, Rolled ), Brass ( Drawn, Rolled ), Copper ( Molded, Rolled ) Zinc etc., These taps do not have cutting cutting edges or the conventional flutes thus giving the taps greater rigidity.
Fluteless taps do not produce chips and can be used for high speed tapping thereby maintaining a high precision uniformity and good surface finish of the tapped thread. |
|
Spriex for blind hole tapping
Totem Spiral fluted taps are designed for blind hole tapping in a wide variety of materials, including Aluminum, Plastic and Cast Iron. Depending upon the application the Spiral flute angle is available in slow Spiral 15 degrees and fast spiral 35 degrees.
The strong cutting edges and short thread length enables reduce tapping torque resulting in higher performance. Spiral fluted taps can also supplied in M35 & M42 with various surface treatment like Steam tempered, Blued, Nitrided, Titanium Nitride etc. |

"TOTEM Carbon steel Taps are backed by 30 years of manufacturing experience, built upon the knowledge given earlier by its U. K. based Collaborators.
Today, TOTEM has set a standard of it's own which makes our Taps the largest selling, not only in domestic market but across the world"
The taps manufactured from first grade High Carbon Steel stringent inspection procedures ensures high quality.
Recommended for medium fit applications; for tapping non-ferrous material, soft ferrous material, sheet metal parts etc. Specific areas of usage would be in maintenance, garages, workshops and fabrication etc.
Totem carbon steel taps are available in various thread forms and sizes and are manufactured to the general dimensions given in BS 949 / 1951 and ANSI B 94-W 1971 for the NC / NF thread forms.

Carbide Burrs |
| |
Tungsten Carbide Rotary Burrs
are designed for high stock removal rates with proportionate
long life.
The superior performance of Totem Burrs in machining
of materials with any tensile strength is a result of
a combination of the helical angle, number of flutes,
shapes, and the concentricity. Correctly used, they
are highly efficient and are long lasting than equivalent
emery wheels.
Totem Tungsten carbide burrs
are made available in various shapes to suit user requirement
like Cylindrical, Ball nose Cylindrical, Tree shape,
Conical Ball nose Cone, Oval, Ball / Spherical, Rim
shape and Flame. Totem miniature series burrs have also
been developed for machining jobs.

When standard cutters are
used on hard material like High Speed Steels, Nimonic,
Stainless or Titanium Steel, there is a possibility
of long chips coming of the cutters; to tackle this
problem TOTEM range provides two kind of burrs SUPREME
and DELUXE |
| |
| |
|
Supreme Burrs
(Double Cut)
A helix is cut on the burr to break the continuity of the teeth edge. Reduced vibration, efficient chip breakage, safeguarding the operator and better control of the cutters during working gives a good surface finish. Recommended for working on all ferrous / non-ferrous metals including Stainless steel.
|
|
|
|
Deluxe Burrs (Diamond Cut)
Recommended for high alloy steels, CrNi steels, Grey Cast Iron, Magnesium Alloys, Inox and Fibre reinforced Plastics. Designed for high stock removal avoids formation of chips, pulverizing the removed material thus giving good finish and making it safe for the operator.

TOTEM HSS Rotary cutters are manufactured from 6:5:2 High Speed Steel hardened and tempered to RC 60 / 62 HRC. These cutters are extremely useful to debur soft machined components, smoothen out ridges of Aluminum and metal castings, dress and carve out wooden and non ferrous patterns etc. |
